Our farm is located in an authentic farming village in the heart of Hochsauerland, Grönebach
The half-timbered houses in the village are slate on the outside and the church has the oldest church bells in Sauerland. The village is in a rural setting with many forests around it. Due to the village’s unique location, many hiking trails and a beautiful cycling route pass through it. It is located in the municipality of Winterberg where there are many more cycling and hiking routes.
Also for ‘small’ guests, the village has a lot to offer. Right behind the farm is the village park, with a large field and a nice playground.
If you want to have a drink somewhere cosy in the evening, you don’t have to go far, as the village has a café (open Thursday to Sunday).
The farmhouse has 4 rooms located on the first floor.
This floor features:
3 rooms with a double bed
1 room with two single beds
The floor has a large spacious shared bathroom with shower, bath, 2 sinks and a toilet. There is an additional toilet on the ground floor.
From May to September: € 34.50 per person per night
From October to March: € 36.50 per person per night
Price includes breakfast, but excludes tourist tax (€ 1.75 pppn)
The authentic stable, where hay used to be stored for the cows, now has a glass conservatory. In summer, breakfast is served here. This room is also used, when the weather does not allow it, as a summer lounge for the Tea House.
You can really enjoy the atmosphere of the old days here.
If you have bicycles with you, there is the possibility to put them in the shed with us. If you come by motorbike, you can park it behind the house out of sight from the street.
If you don’t want to leave in the evening, you can enjoy a delicious meal in our little Schnitzel House on Fridays and Saturdays. The kitchen is open from 18:00 to 20:00. If you want to be sure of a place, we recommend making a reservation. Especially for our house guests, we also make a schnitzel or hamburger on other days. Please let us know a few days before your arrival if you would like to make use of this service.
(Only possible in the summer season from April to November)
We don’t have dogs ourselves, but we are definitely animal lovers. It is lovely to walk around with your dog here, so dogs are allowed with us. Please do register your dog in advance when booking.
If you are travelling and looking for accommodation, rent a hiker’s hut in the stable for one night or longer.
Take a break during or after a nice bike ride, lovely walk, you are on the road by car or motorbike.
If you don`t want to leave in the evening, you can enjoy a Schnitzel or Hamburger with us.
